A girl was killed after she was hit by a taxi and allegedly dragged alongside the street for about 20m on Monday night (June 20).

The police have been alerted to the incident in Ang Mo Kio Street 21 at round 10.25pm.

The 61-year-old girl, who the police stated was a pedestrian, was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

The 53-year-old driver of a TransCab taxi was arrested for careless driving inflicting demise. Investigations are ongoing.
