Britain is going through an extended and arduous winter of rampant inflation, rising rates of interest and recession. Andrew Bailey, the governor of the Bank of England (BoE), gave this bleak outlook throughout a press convention on Thursday (Aug 4) during which he forecast that inflation would soar to 13.3 per cent in October, the best stage since 1980 and approach above the central financial institution’s earlier goal of two per cent.
